Black Cod Fish Tacos

This recipe uses Seremoni Grade Black Cod to make the best fish tacos you'll ever have! Classic beer batter, thinly sliced cabbage and red onion, Mexican crema, and pico de gallo on a corn tortilla.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour, sifted
- 4 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup beer
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- vegetable oil for frying
- 6-8 Seremoni Grade Black Cod fillets
For serving:
- corn tortilla
- Mexican style crema
- cabbage and red onion, thinly sliced
- pico de gallo
- avocado slices
In a wide pan or pot, add vegetable oil and heat over medium high heat.
In a bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, baking powder, and salt. To the mixture, add beer and egg. Whisk until combined
In a shallow plate, add 1/4 cup flour, along with a pinch of salt and pepper. Coat each black cod fillet on all sides in the flour, and then dip into the wet batter.
Deep fry the fish until golden brown and crispy. Remove and place onto a paper towel lined plate. Season immediately with salt.
To serve, warm up corn tortillas, add the fish, cabbage and red onion, pico de gallo, avocado, and crema.
