Seremoni

A classic for a reason, Miso Black Cod is known for its rich, deeply savory flavor and simple execution. Seremoni Grade Black cod is coated in a miso glaze and baked until tender and perfectly caramelized. Finished with fresh scallions, it’s an easy, favorite way to get bold umami and flaky fish with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 2 6oz skin-on portions Seremoni Grade Black Cod or 1 Seremoni Grade Frozen Black Cod Tray
- 2 Tbsp white miso
- 2 Tbsp mirin
- 1 tsp rice vinegar
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 scallions, thinly sliced
If using the frozen Seremoni Grade Black Cod tray, defrost the fish in the refrigerator or under cold water until fully thawed.
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a small bowl, whisk miso, mirin, rice vinegar, sugar, and sesame oil until smooth.
Pat black cod dry with a paper towel and place on a baking sheet or the aluminum tray, skin-side down.
Spoon miso glaze evenly over the fish, then flip over and spread a thin layer on the skin side.
Bake uncovered for 15–18 minutes, until the fish is flaky and the glaze is caramelized.
Optional: broil for 2–3 minutes for crispy, charred skin.
Finish with scallions and enjoy!
